Community Initiatives

CFHC keeps abreast of the needs of our community and periodically, the Board of Directors provides direction for special initiatives.

Early Childhood Taskforce

CFHC is a proud partner and member of the Early Childhood Taskforce, working closely with local non-profits, businesses, and educators to help address the child care crisis in Henderson County. The partnership began with supporting a Child Care Demand Study conducted by Smart Start Partnership for Children, Taproot Consulting, and The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce. The results of the study can be found here. Priorities formed around the Child Care Demand Study have helped inform the direction and initiatives of the Early Childhood Taskforce. By raising awareness about the benefits of early childhood education and the impact access to care has on our community, the Taskforce aims to make a meaningful difference in educating and advocating for the economic, social, and health benefits of early childhood programs.
