The Community Foundation of Henderson County is committed to equity, integrity, and transparency in its grantmaking, and understands that applicants may choose to use AI tools to support their grant or scholarship applications. We welcome the use of these and other tools, as long as the applicant remains fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of all submitted content.
CFHC advises that applicants remain aware to the risks, as well as the rewards of AI usage. Our grant and scholarship applications are reviewed by teams of local volunteers. These reviewers do not use AI in their evaluation process. Often times these reviewers find there is no substitute for personal and authentic responses and perspectives in applications.
In your application, you may be asked to identify whether and where you utilized AI in your submission. The answer will not have any weight on the decision of the committee, but will allow you to explain in what aspect you used AI technology in an effort to build transparency and trust.
