On Jan. 29, 2010, beloved Camp Greystone Senior Director Jim "JimDaddy" Miller III died, leaving behind a legacy that touched many lives.
In memory of JimDaddy, Camp Greystone, a Christian summer camp for girls in Tuxedo, N.C., established The Great Day Fund at CFHC, an endowment fund to provide camperships for girls whose families cannot afford camp. The Great Day Fund provides camperships to eligible families – both new and current camp families – who are in need of financial assistance.
Camp Greystone's leaders believe the lessons learned from JimDaddy are alive and well, living on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Those leaders never want financial circumstances to determine who can come to Camp Greystone; they believe the Holy Spirit draws some to their community who need to be here, and they seek innovative ways to admit them.
JimDaddy trusted God, did good, lived richly and cultivated faithfulness in the Lord – lessons he taught daily. He loved to surprise friends with gifts and always wanted to provide for those in need. Camp Greystone hopes people will consider honoring JimDaddy through a contribution to The Great Day Fund.
