Victor Arzate is a rising senior at Wake Forest University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with plans to complete a Master of Science in Accountancy by 2028. An IRS-Certified Advanced Tax Preparer through the VITA program, Victor leverages his bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to provide free, accessible financial guidance and tax preparation for low-to-moderate-income community members. His professional background also included serving as the Financial Manager for Campus Grounds at Wake Forest, where he directed financial operations and reporting for the student-run enterprise.
Victor decided to join the Community Foundation of Henderson County to bridge the gap between his financial expertise and his passion for local impact. He is eager to learn the "behind-the-scenes" of philanthropy and how specialized accounting skills can support a foundation’s mission to foster lasting contributions. As he works toward becoming a CPA to handle complex tax returns, Victor is dedicated to giving back to the community that has supported him, ensuring that expert financial services remain available to those who need them most.
