Eli Haynes began his ten-month intern position at CFHC in August 2026. Eli is motivated by his passion for community development and service, along with his ambition to build experience and literacy in the non-profit sector. As a Blue Ridge Service Corps Fellow, Eli believes that building community requires active participation and leadership from individuals committed to bettering the quality of life for others. In the past, he has practiced this commitment by teaching English in Taipei and coaching basketball camps in his hometown of Medford, Oregon.
Eli graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on International Relations. During his time at Davidson, Eli was a resident assistant where he worked with freshmen to ensure a positive first-year experience.
In his free time, Eli enjoys making music, playing basketball, writing poetry, and cheering on the Portland Trail Blazers.
