Amy Cook

Gifts Officer

Amy Cook joined the professional team at Community Foundation of Henderson County in 2025, bringing with her a rich background in nonprofit leadership and strategic development. Prior to her role as Gifts Officer at Community Foundation, Amy served as Chief Operating Officer at Interfaith Assistance Ministry in Henderson County, and previously as Director of Operations for the Woman’s Missionary Union Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama.

Amy's career has been dedicated to strengthening nonprofit organizations through strategic planning, donor engagement, and operational excellence. She brings years of experience cultivating meaningful donor relationships and helping individuals achieve their philanthropic goals. Her professional journey has also included roles as a high school history teacher, librarian, and museum director, as well as consulting on the development of Standard Operating Procedures for nonprofit entities.

A Henderson County native who attended Hendersonville High School, Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She returned to the area in 2023 with her husband and son and is delighted to once again call Henderson County home.

In her free time, Amy enjoys reading nonfiction, exploring a wide range of music, and spending time with her family discovering all that the region has to offer.
