Ally Smith joined the Community Foundation of Henderson County in 2025 and now serves as Donor Services Associate. In this role, she supports donor services operations, including gift processing, grant administration, fund record management, and assistance with the Foundation’s scholarship process.
Before joining the Foundation, she worked as a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher with Transylvania County Public Schools.
Ally graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, where she also minored in English. While at Western, Ally worked as a Resident Assistant for Residential Living, assisting freshman with their adjustment to college. She also volunteered as an ambassador for the College of Education and Allied Professions, where she supported recruitment to the education major.
Ally is a native of Transylvania County. Outside of work, Ally enjoys reading fiction, listening to music, watching Carolina basketball, and spending time with her family, including her twin brother.
