Hendersonville, N.C., December 16, 2021 – Community Foundation of Henderson County is pleased to announce the release of their Annual Report for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2021. Overall, more than $4.5 million in charitable grants and academic scholarships were awarded to nonprofits and local students supporting a multitude of causes.

“This report demonstrates that Community Foundation of Henderson County continues to provide a structure for bringing together resources and ideas so that donors are able to make our community a better place today and for future generations,” said Community Foundation President/CEO McCray V. Benson.

During Fiscal Year 2020-21, a variety of grants provided support for existing services and new endeavors at local organizations helping thousands of community members. The Annual Report highlights some of those services and new projects, shares personal stories of community volunteers, and captures the impact of generous philanthropy in Henderson County this past year.

“This year, we learned more of the incredible good that can come from philanthropy – not only in the form of monetary donations to excellent charitable organizations, but also through volunteerism and even random acts of kindness,” shared Benson.
