CFHC Scholarships Now Open

Hendersonville, N.C., October 15, 2019 - The Community Foundation of Henderson County is proud to offer 108 new scholarship awards for the 2020-2021 academic year. Scholarship applications open October 15 and close December 15. To apply and learn more about CFHC scholarships, CLICK HERE. All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Scholarship opportunities are primarily available for graduating or recently graduated seniors attending, public, private, parochial, or homeschool in Henderson County, Transylvania County, Polk County or Jackson County, North Carolina. The wide range of available scholarships seek to support students with a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, achievements and higher education goals.

CFHC will award over $550,000 in scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Graduating seniors, current college students and returning adult education students are encouraged to apply. Scholarship opportunities offer valuable assistance to area students pursuing a higher education degree and are made possible through generous community members.

The scholarship recipients will be announced in spring on the CFHC website and presented at high school award and graduation ceremonies. More than $6 million in scholarships has been awarded since 1984 to more than 1,300 students through the Community Foundation's scholarship program.
