American Legion, Post 77, Hubert M. Smith Scholarship

Applicant must be the son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter or stepchild of a current member in good standing for 12 months prior to the scholarship deadline, or of a deceased member in good standing at the time of his death of the Hubert M. Smith, Post 77, American Legion. The student must be age 23 or less at the time of application and be a graduating senior or graduate of a public, parochial or private school who intends to enroll in a two-year or four-year degree granting program. Applicant must submit a letter from the organization's leadership verifying relationship.

Andrea Davies Skillman Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial assistance for a student of West Henderson High School matriculating to higher education at an accredited institution. A student who enters a Pathways Program, Early College Program or a post-secondary school early are also eligible. Students may be a business or marketing major with entrepreneurial goals. The student must exhibit the primary characteristic of having an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed.

Arthur R. Hill Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a college-bound student from a single-parent home. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, a community service background, must demonstrate financial need, provide two character references, and demonstrate work ethic and ambition.

Chat Jones Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Henderson County seeking further education in an accredited degree-granting college or university. Applicant should show promise and be meeting passing grade requirements but may not be in the top of his or her class rank.

Clyde T. and Wilma G. Moore Scholarship

This scholarship provides educational assistance for current or former patients of Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, South Carolina. Applicant must demonstrate their desire to continue their education and convey a genuine desire to become a self-supporting citizen. Applicant must exhibit his or her ability to be successful in a two- or four-year accredited community college, college or university by graduating high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a Henderson County public high school. Applicant must have played and lettered in three varsity sports for two or more years during grades 9-12 (one of those years being their senior year). Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

David H. and Betty R. Bucher Engineering Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of any Henderson County public, private or parochial school seeking to further his or her education beyond high school. Applicant must be accepted to an accredited degree-granting college or university and be actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of engineering. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and should be involved in extracurricular and community activities.

Dr. Corbin O. Williams Memorial Scholarship

Applicant should demonstrate high academic standards, leadership abilities, and exhibit high levels of interpersonal compatibility.
