Community Foundation of Henderson County scholarship recipients are exploring more study abroad programs. As a Kenneth R. Stull and Virginia M. Stull Scholarship recipient in 2016, Cameron Hampton is a great example of how our students are utilizing study abroad programs. Now a junior at UNC-Charlotte, Cameron broadened his future job opportunities while studying chemistry at Technische Universitaet in Dortmund, Germany. In 2017, the United States Department of State reported that over 325,000 U.S. students studied abroad.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, more than $6 million in scholarships has been awarded since 1983 to more than 1,300 students through the Community Foundation's scholarship program.
