National Standards Compliance

The Community Foundation is confirmed in compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations established by the Community Foundations National Standards Board, a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations. Compliance with this rigorous set of benchmarks distinguishes CFHC and reflects the organization's dedication to accountability, transparency, continuous self-improvement and excellence in all philanthropic practices.

Donor of the Decade Award

The Community Foundation was named Donor of the Decade at Park Ridge Health Foundation’s Annual Appreciation Breakfast on April 8, 2008. CFHC has supported a variety of Park Ridge programs including health screening programs, Preschoolers Reaching Educational Potential (PREP), and Kid Power which helps provide access to healthy living for the good of the community.

Association of Fundraising Professionals-Western North Carolina Chapter Awards

The Community Foundation and donors and volunteers connected with CFHC have been honored by the AFP-WNC with the following awards:
