CFHC's Legacy of Helping Donors Like You
The mission of Community Foundation of Henderson County is helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity governed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, the Community Foundation has been helping donors fulfill their philanthropic dreams since 1982.
Individuals, families, organizations and businesses establish funds at the Community Foundation to carry out their charitable giving now and in the future.
This past fiscal year, the Community Foundation distributed more than $2.9 million to nonprofit organizations and scholarship recipients through grants and scholarships.
With assets of more than $87.7 million at the end of this past fiscal year, the Community Foundation manages more than 570 funds, each with its own unique purpose usually specified by a donor. Most are permanent funds called endowments, which provide philanthropic support forever.
The Community Foundation operates with the vision of being a highly visible, philanthropic leader directed by an engaged and committed board, staffed by qualified employees, empowering donors at all levels to invest in professionally managed charitable funds that address community needs.
